The ‘Complete Reel’ was designed and developed over the course of one year.
The concept was to produce a product which could improve shipping margins by 25% through a compact design which would stack on a pallet for shipping.
It was also key that it allowed a 15m hose and all accessories to fit within the product’s space package.
The Pope Handy Reel was designed to replace an existing product in the market.
It is supplied to stores in a box but through reducing part weights and dimensions the product successfully achieved 25% more units per pallet shipment.
The Pope Handy Cart was created to replace an existing product.
The colourways were brightened and the design was adjusted to give better usability and functionality.
Key features include; the reduction of plastics in key areas while not reducing the overall strength, a folding crank handle for improved storage options, and specific geometry on the handle for ease of movement by the user.
The Premium Reel is a replacement for an existing product already in the market.
The aim of the project was to add a high end item to the existing product range, using box section tubing and contrasting plastic parts such as the drum being made from two, interlocking parts to give a contrast and more elevated look.
In addition, overmolded hand grips on both the handle and crank winder improved the products feel and functionality.
